WHY ARE WE CREATING BEYOND THE WARDROBE?

You might wonder why a fashion label is stepping into the world of toys. For us, the transition was natural. Fashion is a form of self-expression, and play is how children first learn to express who they are.

For the last few years, I poured my passion into South Asian-inspired fashion, but what I realised after having children of my own is that the stories we tell through our clothing—stories of heritage and identity—shouldn’t just be for the mirror. They should be in the hands of the next generation.

I saw a gap in the toy box: a South Asian doll created with purpose. I didn't want to settle for a token gesture; I wanted to create a doll defined by intentional design, genuine beauty and nuance.
